I would like to share an interesting paper regarding a checklist of Fishes of the Grijalva River basin of Mexico and Guatemala.

This paper is also interesting for those who wish to setup a biotope inspired aquarium. wink emoticon

Interesting looking through the checklist that species such as Maskaheros regani is found in the middle sections of the Grijalva basin, as these were thought to be an endemic species of the Coatzacoalcos basin and surrounding tributaries. Any thoughts on this?

Also V. breidohri has an extended distribution range which is good news as they are considered to be threatned.
Pacific drainage species A. macracanthus and A. trimaculatus have both been found in the Grijalva regions, however could these be exotic populations?

The paper can be saved to pdf for easier viewing.
